In this podcast episode, Lize mentions that clients are required to abstain from caffeine, alcohol, refined sugar and recreational drugs to optimise the establishment of new pathways. She would like to add:
“This is easier than it may appear, since the brain patterns that lead to cravings, stress, poor sleep, etc. are also trained. From day 1, this helps you not to need these substances as much. You are allowed natural sugars and so on, so the process is not as tough as it sounds. Most people are able to abstain with minimal effort and discomfort.”
